I am so blessed and honored to announce that The Last Touch won Best Social Distanced Production Runner Up at the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival 2021!
The irony is that I wrote and made this movie in 2018, not knowing how prescient it would become.
MiSciFi festival was a blast, even though virtual, it felt so real with so many live events and Q/As, and interactivity between the filmmakers. I enjoyed it, watched so many good inspiring films, and made a new family.
I felt already rewarded to be part of an official selection, knowing that the festival received thousands of submissions. So the fact that a festival focused on #scififilms established now for 8 years, noticed and honored my short film in the middle of such an inspiring and high quality line up of 150 films from all over the world makes me feel so humbled and moved (yes I shed some tears at the award ceremony as …you may see in the picture 🤪).

🇫🇷~ Je suis tellement heureuse et honorée d'annoncer que The Last Touch a remporté le deuxième prix de la meilleure production ‘distance sociale’ au Festival International du film de Science Fiction de Miami 2021!
L'ironie est que j'ai écrit et tourné ce film en 2018, ne sachant pas à quel point il deviendrait prescient.
Le festival MiSciFi a été une aventure extraordinaire, même s'il était virtuel, il semblait si réel avec tant d'événements en direct, d’interviews, et d’interactivité entre les cinéastes. J'ai adoré! De plus, j’y ai vu tellement de bons films, inspirants, et formé une nouvelle famille.
La sélection officielle était déjà une récompense en soi, sachant que le festival avait reçu des milliers de films. Donc, le fait qu'un festival axé sur les #scififilms, établi depuis 8 ans, ait remarqué et honoré mon court-métrage au milieu d'une programmation de si haute qualité (150 films du monde entier), me laisse sans mots mais débordante d’émotions (oui j'ai versé des larmes lors de la cérémonie de remise des prix comme… vous pouvez le voir sur la photo 🤪).
Je partage bien sûr ce prix avec ma chère et super talentueuse équipe dont les efforts, le temps et la passion ont permis à ce film d'exister: mon incroyable DP Yaniv Glaser, ma co-star James Kacey, ma ‘voix-star’ Monica Blaze Leavitt, mon compositeur Steve Sholtes, et des remerciements particuliers à Olivier Schultheis, Anthony Abeson, Eric R Mizrahi, Don Riemer. Et tous les amis qui m'ont aidé avec leur soutien positif.
